Organization & Structure

The Prompt Library uses a flexible file-tree interface familiar to any developer or creative professional. It allows for deep nesting and precise organization of your prompt assets.

Folders & Hierarchy

You can create an unlimited depth of folders to organize your prompts. Common organization patterns include:

  • By Feature: Authentication, Checkout, Data Analysis
  • By Team: Frontend Team, Data Science, Marketing
  • By Model Type: Creative Copy, Function Calling, Chat Bots

Creating Items

Use the action buttons at the top of the specific folder or the main Sidebar header:

  • New Folder (): Creates a container for other items.
  • New Prompt (): Creates a new prompt file.

Managing Assets

Drag and Drop

Rearrange your library by simply dragging items. The interface provides visual cues for precision placement:

  • Top/Bottom: Places the item before or after the target.
  • Center: Places the item inside the target folder.

Note: You need Editor permissions to move or reorder items.

Naming & Renaming

  • Double-click a folder to expand/collapse it.
  • Right-click any item to access the Context Menu for renaming or deleting.

Metadata & Tags

Folders can hold metadata such as tags and variables. These are indicated by a small “settings” icon () next to the folder name. This allows you to define context-specific variables that apply to all prompts within that folder (e.g., a default tone variable for a Marketing folder).
